Northeastern White Pine is the standard wood species used.  It is a soft wood but stains well and looks great in
Early American or Country decor.

Pine is usually associated with knots. Pine used by DWR Custom Woodworking is cut and selected so the knots are
tight and will not interfere with the operation of the Quilt Display.  The wood selected for the clamping board
is flat, straight and free of knots.  Tight knots may be used in the shelf area if tight and proportional with the
Quilt Display.

The following color samples are approximations of the stains used on pine by DWR Custom Woodworking.
